We had a caricaturist at the evening reception and he was a big hit with our guests as he brought an air of comedy to the evening. We had a photo booth, DJ, a shot bar, some cocktails and rounded the night off with sparklers! With the help of Natalie, our Parklands, Quendon Hall wedding planner, we came up with the idea to do our first dance outside in the bandstand, to enable everyone to socially distance around us. Even though in the end we didn’t need to, it made for a magical first dance and we were the first couple to do this! The team are now recommending this to their couples to consider as an alternative to the normal dancefloor! The ‘dad’s first look’ moment before we got married, seeing each other at the end of the aisle and having confetti thrown over us, were memorable moments. Olivia (our Reverend) and the Parklands, Quendon Hall team, gave us the wedding day we’d wished and prayed for ‒ we are eternally grateful! Dan driving us to Parklands, Quendon Hall in the Aston, the speeches, our first dance in the bandstand and throwing my bouquet are memories we will cherish. 48
