Our caterers were fabulous at making the food exactly what we wanted it to be. Since we had the venue for the whole weekend this included breakfasts, a more casual family style meal on the Friday night, and canapés to enjoy during the afternoon drinks reception. For the wedding breakfast our Thai starter was linked to our engagement, and Adam and I love chocolate brownies so these had to feature as our dessert! Guests were given the option of two main courses, and then evening food a little later made sure no one went hungry! Our tables were named after firsts of ours, such as our first holiday together and location of our first kiss. We didn’t tell guests what the firsts were, which provided a good talking point as they were finding their seats. Our wedding stylist coordinated the place and table name cards with the rest of the signage including the table plan, welcome board and menus bringing everything together. Adam and I were unsure about having a wedding cake, but as soon as we saw the work of Blossom Tree Cake Company on Instagram we knew we had to have one! It was a three-tiered showstopper decorated with beautiful sugar flowers. It was delicious and the pink central layer tied in with the colour of the bridesmaids’ dresses and gentlemen’s ties. We created a favour bag for every guest bedroom containing carefully thought-out items that represented our life together so far. For example, Adam gave me a packet of Jaffa cakes on our first date as I mentioned I loved them in my dating profile, so these were a must! I absolutely love flowers so I wanted a real floral feast at the wedding. Our outstanding florist, Laura, made my dreams come true and created the most wonderful masterpieces placed all around the venue. 35 REAL WEDDINGS
