Your Yorkshire Wedding - March/April 2025 (Issue 71)

I wore the Medicea dress by Pronovias. My mum sent me a picture of it from one of Pronovias’ catwalk shows and I instantly loved it. So, I travelled down to London to try it on and ordered it then and there. I wanted something a little different and it was the perfect dress. My bridesmaids wore a one-shoulder design in dusky pink with a chiffon cowl neck. I had two pregnant bridesmaids (one actually gave birth the day before the wedding and couldn’t make it) but they fit them all so well, they looked gorgeous. There were so many highlights for me: getting ready with my bridesmaids, showing them my dress for the first time, the first look with my dad, the dancing, and amazing food. I think my favourite moment though was walking down the aisle. I was really nervous but as soon as Todd turned around all of that just melted away and I felt on cloud nine. The most beautiful floral horseshoe surrounded us at the top of the aisle where we were married. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of my bouquet. The florist added some pale pink roses into the arrangement as we joke saying Todd is a pink rose now. He’s originally from Lancashire but has joined the Yorkshire side! Todd looked very handsome in his black tux with orchid buttonhole. His groomsmen wore black suits with a different buttonhole allowing the groom to stand out. 28
