Your Yorkshire Wedding - September/October 2024 (Issue 68)

Our favours were round biscuits with beige icing and gold leaf edging, stamped with Mrs & Mrs Burbridge and the date. The centrepieces featured a mixture of tall designs with pampas; and fresh flowers in cream, beige and browns arranged in bronze lanterns. We had small bud vases on some tables too. We wanted a soft, romantic look. I knew I wanted a fitted, backless dress and having tried on several at various places, this was just meant to be. It had everything I wanted. I wore a cathedral-length veil with it, along with a diamanté head piece and matching jewellery. Our table plan by Rainbow & the Goose was designed in simple white text with a taupe background. Simple, but stylish. The flowers were outstanding and my favourite element from the day. Becky at Ivy Lane absolutely realised my vision and they blew me away. Soft, pretty, natural and striking all at the same time. Acoustic guitarist Dave Lynas played throughout the wedding breakfast and on into the evening. 42
