We booked a five-day trip to Rome and set off two days after the wedding. It was the perfect city break and a chance for us to stay in our bubble. We walked all over the city, took in the beautiful landmarks and ate plenty of pizza and pasta! I’d recommended tracking everything on a spreadsheet and breaking it down into stages to make planning less overwhelming. Tick things off as you complete them and move on to the next. This way, you can easily see who you’ve approached and who you’re waiting to hear back from, avoiding any confusion. The staff at The Coniston went above and beyond in every department. Even the morning after the wedding, Rachel and Emily, our wedding coordinators, found us to see if we needed anything. I went for an impromptu karaoke session at the end of the night despite being tone deaf, using the decorative trees as microphones. Apologies to the Coniston wedding team! This was a huge hit with our guests with practically everyone having a go. They all raved about how friendly and patient Mike was with those new to roulette and blackjack, which was much appreciated. During the evening South West Band kept the dancefloor full and were fabulous. They have a great repertoire and DJ set. 38
