Your Yorkshire Wedding - July/August 2024 (Issue 67)

The groomsmen all wore Cavani suits the same colour as Matthew, all in navy; while the groomsmaids wore navy Lipsy, satin, floor-length dresses with train. I felt really overwhelmed in the morning as I was already at the venue. It was the waiting for Matthew to turn up as then I’d know it was really happening. Matthew says, “I was nervous even though I said for such a long time I wouldn’t be, it hit me on the day. I was more anxious getting to the venue and being handed a letter and gift from my now father-inlaw, which made it all become real.” Matthew travelled to the venue in a red Mercedes G Wagon provided by his best man so he could arrive in style. Matthew wore a Cavani suit too, but his was in navy. He paired it with the ivory waistcoat to match me and we both wore the same tie. Our outfits really complemented each other. So much thought went into looking similar but not the same, bringing our colour palette to life. I accessorised with cufflinks with my initials on, and our wedding date, along with a matching tie clip with our names engraved on it. I wore a tailored ivory Cavani suit and loved it. With any suit I’ve worn in the past that’s been off the hanger, it’s either too big or a tad too small. So, to have one tailored felt premium and more comfortable. 31 REAL WEDDINGS
