Your Yorkshire Wedding - July/August 2023 (Issue 61)

We also had a dog treat station for guests to take home a bag of treats for their fur babies from our pup, Joey. It was so popular guests kept asking me if I had any more bags! During our welcome drinks we ditched traditional canapés for a cheese table from Smart Occasions, which was a really popular choice. Joshua and his groomsmen wore three piece tuxedos, complete with Hugo Boss velvet bow ties. He also wore a velvet jacket and different coloured tie to stand out. We had a cigar bar for guests to help themselves to, which went down a treat! Both our families enjoy a cigar on a special occasion, so it was the perfect touch. I wore the Dream gown by Ronald Joyce. It was exactly what I wanted – traditional A-line, it featured lace sleeves and left me feeling covered up enough for a church wedding. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their multiway dark sage dresses from La Closet De Chanel. They’re all different shapes and sizes, so could style them exactly how they felt comfortable. We lost Joshua’s Grandad the previous Christmas, and he never got to open his Christmas present; a special edition whisky. We had a whisky station set up with his photo for family toast him. 41 REAL WEDDINGS
