THE CHIMNEY HOUSE 01142 767 885 | https://thechimneyhouse.com WHAT TO EXPECT Perched on the edge of a historic waterway ‒ the ‘mill race’ on Kelham Island ‒ complete with kingfishers and bullrushes ‒ The Chimney House with its 93ft chimney and beautiful original redbrick is often described as iconic. Traced back to 1886, former residents include an elephant and steel rolling mill workers so it sits beautifully in a historic setting ‒ as well as being a modern and inspiring place to celebrate! The building has been restored to its former original beauty ‒ all redbrick, fireplaces and stone stairs. You’ll find leafy green living plants on every surface! TIME TO CELEBRATE! Ceremonies take place in The Meeting Room of The Chimney House but guests have access to the living room and the front room. The venue custom styles a resplendent altar with an abundance of seasonal British blooms and candles for the ceremony to take place in front of, while up to 50 guests relax on design classics including cantilever Brno chairs. WE LOVE… The Chimney House hosts ‘wedding feasts’ rather than a typical reception ‒ which can be up to 50 guests over two feasting tables. This is also hosted in The Meeting Room which is transformed for dinner after the ceremony. THE MOWBRAY 01142 767 885 | https://themowbray.co.uk WHAT TO EXPECT Originally built in 1889 as a steel merchants, The Mowbray comes complete with a beautiful set of sliding factory doors and beautiful red brick architecture that sits so well against the industrial landscape. The building has historic charm complete with magnificent arched windows that allow for sensational light and atmosphere. TIME TO CELEBRATE! Receptions take place in the main space of The Mowbray. The venue specialises in feasting and sits up to 150 guests. The reclaimed tables are laden with fresh, seasonal food straight from The Mowbray’s kitchens - where everything is made from scratch. There’s a beautiful 100-year-old mahogany drinks cabinet that forms the lavish cocktail bar where you’re served seasonal cocktails and carefully selected wines. Guests can enjoy long lazy wedding feasts before dancing till the stars come out. The venue doesn’t host ceremonies. WE LOVE… ‘Up On The Roof’ is found on The Mowbray’s private first floor rooftop. It’s a complete hideaway escape with leafy green views over Park Wood Springs and the historic rooftops of Neepsend, complete with a rooftop bar, a British flower garden and plenty of places to relax and enjoy garden cocktails and a BBQ.
