The power of pastels Discover this romantic-styled shoot at the historic Hampton Manor Images courtesy of Stuart Wood Photography Shoot coordinator Georgie Allen, founder of Lux Wedding Planner, wanted to create a wildly romantic and sumptuous shoot within a setting where contemporary style and historical character complement one another. She pulled together a team of talented suppliers to bring her vision to life at Hampton Manor, a 19th-century destination for those looking for a sensuous celebration. Georgie says, “The beautiful walled garden, the lovely outside spaces and the on-site bridal cottage offered the flexibility to bring the concept to life.” The team’s creativity shone through in the fashion, florals, and styling. The gowns, handpicked from Ivory Tower Bridal Couture, were a testament to the industry’s diversity and creativity. From the ruffled masterpieces to the delicately printed wonders, each dress was a unique creation. The styling perfectly captured a romantic and luxurious feel, with a touch of glamour, while maintaining a pretty, elegant, and timeless look with sophisticated silhouettes and classic lines. The make-up artist and hairstylist, Jayne and Katie from Bridal by Artists, worked their magic to create a classically beautiful look. The make-up, kept natural and classic, enhanced the models’ features. The hairstylist crafted two different looks, each designed to accentuate the unique necklines of the dresses. A flower crown added whimsy and romance to the overall look, completing the vision of a dreamy wedding. The gowns picked up all the styling notes to complement the florals, expertly created by the excellent Amy of Ava Event Styling. In conjunction with her styling, Amy’s in-house floristry incorporated a soft, textured and whimsical vibe, featuring pretty lilac pastels with some contrasting aspects. Playing with height, shape and depth, the bridal gowns were framed with dreamy, unstructured florals such as columns and majestic pillars alluringly positioned within the gardens. Progressing this vision, the incredibly talented baker at Ben the Cake Man created two wedding designs: a stunning lilac floating meadow cake surrounded by a bed of flowers framed by floral columns and a crisp white wedding cake with beautiful detailing enhanced by the walled garden. These cakes refined elegance and grandeur in equal measure. The team wanted to create a very romantic feel through imagery and film. Creative experts photographer Stuart at Stuart Wood Photography and videographer Steve at Blue Ridge Wedding Films both produced a visual treat. Stuart comments, “Every project creates unique challenges and opportunities; my aim is always to keep the resulting images fresh and exciting while keeping a style that individually suits both the project and the venue. The quality of Georgie’s hand-picked team for the project meant I was free to concentrate on achieving this for us all – I’m very excited to showcase our pictures! Georgie continues, “It was such a joyous project where we were all empowered to be creative, and for me, that’s when a team of experts work best. As a wedding planner, the connectivity piece behind any wedding or editorial is paramount in creating extraordinary and timeless moments. I hope this shoot inspires couples to be brave in their wedding gown choices, with prints and textured details from the florals and styling enhancing fashion.” 51 STYLED SHOOT
