Your West Midlands Wedding - October/November 2023 (Issue 88)

HOT TOPIC: wedding worries Our experts solve your problems WHATEVER THE WEATHER How can we capture amazing outdoor pictures at our October wedding if the weather turns bad? Couples often say to me, ‘what happens if it rains?’ Even in the height of summer (not that we had much of one this year), rain can land on your wedding day. We always tell our couples not to worry; there are plenty of ways to capture romantic images, even in the rain. In October, we have the lovely colours of autumn coming through, which creates a stunning backdrop. The rain can also provide opportunities you may not get in the summer. For example, we love a good reflection, and often a freshly formed puddle gives the perfect opportunity for this. We also love a bit of off-camera flash twinned with an umbrella; it can give you some stunning photos, such as the one photographed. If, however, you don’t feel like braving the weather, we can often produce some stunning images inside, no matter what the venue. So don’t worry; even if the weather is not on your side, you can still get some amazing photos! James Whittaker www.shinephotography.co.uk JUST THE TWO OF US When should we organise our honeymoon, and how does the booking process work? Booking your honeymoon with a travel agent will turn ordinary into extraordinary. Here at arrangeMY Escape, we specialise in crafting dream honeymoons, ensuring your trip is perfectly tailored to your unique desires. Start planning at least 11 months in advance for the best experience. Our VIP consultation begins with a warm welcome in our luxurious suite, complete with a glass of champagne. Share your destination, budget, travel dates, and dreams with us. You can also use our gift service for family and friends to contribute towards your honeymoon. Your travel agent will work with you to create several itineraries, including flight arrangements, hotel reservations, activities, and transportation within the destination. Review the proposed itineraries carefully and provide feedback and any desired changes or adjustments. Your travel agent should make revisions until you’re satisfied with the plan. Once you’re happy, your agent will handle every detail, taking advantage of early bookings for lower deposits and concierge service. As the countdown begins, the team will finalise all bookings and ensure you have all documents in hand. Jennifer Lynch www.arrangemyescape.com www.shinephotography.co.uk EXPERT ADVICE 49
