Classically ELEGANT Louisa and Sam chose a black and white colour palette for their big-day at Stockton House Images courtesy of Winnington + Coe Louisa and Sam met in their college’s library. “I was obsessed from the moment I saw him, and he loved my curly, ginger hair,” says Louisa. “Our relationship blossomed, and on our seventh anniversary, Sam proposed at The Roseate Villa in Bath. It was the first city we visited as a couple, and the proposal was the most beautiful surprise. Sam used a photo book of all our memories over the seven years we had spent together to ask the question. It was so personal, and the photo album is something we often get out to look back at our wonderful memories together.” The happy couple booked Stockton House for their big day. “We visited when it was a shell and in the first stages of renovation,” shares the bride. “We had to wear highvisibility clothing and hard hats, so not the usual wedding venue viewing! The incredible vision of the team and the location of the venue are what really attracted us. The key feature was the fact we got to have the house the day before and after, so we could enjoy the incredible grounds along with our family for the whole weekend, which felt like a mini holiday. The ability to come and go on the Friday and have our suppliers set up made the wedding far less stressful and meant that the excitement could start right from our arrival at Stockton House. Once the house was finished and we visited for the first time for our wedding breakfast menu tasting, we got to see the beautifully furnished bedrooms and how they had restored the house to its former glory with the perfect balance of new and old. Amy, Tom and Ellie were incredible hosts, and the attention to detail assured us that we had made the right decision.” Here the bride shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...
