This modern-chic shoot at Marden Park Mansion is full of inspiration Images courtesy of Megan Donati Photography This spring-inspired shoot at Marden Park Mansion was put together by Kim from The Scene. She tells us more: “Our aim for this styled shoot was to remind couples they don’t always need to follow trends. Marden Park Mansion dates back to the 1800s, and it tied in with our classic yet modern style perfectly. The mansion is set on a 700-acre estate in a tranquil Surrey valley, with the most stunning entrance staircase. Step inside, and you’re immediately welcomed by its dark wood-panelled interior, high ceilings and open spaces. “As a stylist who is new to the wedding industry, I wanted to build a portfolio that represented my style, so I decided to team up with Megan Donati Photography and Michelle Morris Hair and Makeup to create this grand spring-inspired shoot. Our historic English venue inspired us to create a classic luxurious, yet minimalist wedding. We went for white roses, eucalyptus and a touch of blush to soften the otherwise monochrome design. “We had two beautiful gowns from Victoria’s Bridal Boutique. The Kylah dress had a V-neckline, beaded body and extended skirt, which Michelle complemented by adding a Botias Accessories hair clip and earrings. The second dress, called Claire, was chosen for its lace and strapless fit, and we added a bespoke pearl veil from Rebecca Anne Designs, which crowned the ponytail perfectly. Michelle styled our model’s hair in a loose, textured up do leaving it soft to frame her face. For the second look, she opted for a sleek ponytail. She kept her skin natural and enhanced her cheekbones using soft contouring and highlighter finished off with a nude lip.” A timeless wedding 75 REGIONAL SHOOT
