We wanted to use lots of things that meant a lot to us, so we used a corkboard wall map that shows everywhere we have travelled to together for the table plan. We added people’s names to different countries that corresponded to their table names, each representing a country we have visited. We wrote everyone’s name on a Polaroid picture of them and tried to use photos that showed fun memories of each person with either Greg or I, or both of us. Guests also received Scottish thistle wedding favours to represent my heritage. We opted for a brownie tower instead of a cake! Our arrangements included dried colourful flowers with thistles for a Scottish touch. Some of the table flowers also had mini disco balls to match the ones on the ceiling. Greg is a big whisky fan, so we used whisky bottles with lights inside and bud vases with dried flowers for the centrepieces. 46
