This contemporary four-star hotel, wedding venue and spa commands a prime position overlooking the sprawling racing track at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge. It’s the perfect pick for a pre-wedding pamper in the newly refurbished BSpa, exchanging vows or enjoying a mini-moon in the region. BEAUTY SLEEP The hotel boasts 131 bedrooms and suites decorated in calming colours with modern touches. My home-fromhome for the night was the hotel’s best offering for newlyweds, one of the four track-facing super suites named after the racing car drivers Kay Petre, Noel Pope, Selwyn Edge and Percy Lambert. The extremely spacious one-bedroom Kay Petre suite featured a designer bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, a separate living room with a dining table and chairs and a romantic king-size bed draped in 100% cotton linen. A FOODIE HEAVEN At the heart of this vibrant hotel is the 2 AA Rosette 1907 Restaurant, Bar & Grill and the recently added 1907 Glasshouse designed with floor-to-ceiling windows which can be fully retracted during summer. Here, diners can enjoy a hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the extensive menu are British classics created with seasonal, fresh ingredients. I tucked into the delicious cider and dill-battered fish and chips followed by the vegan Lotus biscoff cheesecake washed down with a glass of the house red wine called Connubio Italia Rosso which has to be one of the best reds I’ve ever tried. As an after-dinner tipple, I enjoyed a glass of port from the extensive wine, beer and spirit list in the relaxed bar area. There’s also a concoction of colourful cocktails, from the popular Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martini to delicious non-alcoholic mocktails. RELAX AND REJUVENATE The wellness journey starts the moment you enter BSpa, a finalist with the Good Spa Guide Awards 2024 that has just enjoyed an extensive refurbishment at this health-focused hotel. A great new addition is the Himalayan Salt Room featuring a unique microclimate with warming waterbeds and the Tranquillity Meditation Room scented with floral notes, sweet orange and cedarwood. There are two saunas, an infra-red and a Finnish sauna that both offer de-tox benefits plus a large steam room, an ice fountain and an experience shower with different water effects such as tropical rain, mist, monsoon and cold waterfall. A lazy afternoon spent in the outdoor jacuzzi with deep-tissue jets perched on the hotel’s balcony followed by a visit to the sunlight therapy room isn’t to be missed and fitness lovers can enjoy the state-of-the-art gym facilities in BFit. Get the glow with a facial, massage or body experience from the extensive treatment menu that uses Comfort Zone products. I indulged in the 25-minute Comfort Zone Himalayan Salt Massage Ritual carried out by the experienced therapist Emily which was pure bliss! MADE FOR ROMANCE This beautiful wedding venue offers a choice of elegant event spaces licensed for celebrations. The Perfect Wedding Package includes everything needed for a big day to remember including a red carpet on arrival, a drinks reception with one glass of prosecco per guest, a delicious three-course wedding breakfast with coffee and petit fours plus an evening finger buffet. There’s also the honeymoon suite offered to newlyweds on the night of the wedding plus discounted bedroom rates for guests. Get me there! Prices start from £177 based on two people sharing a deluxe room including breakfast. The sesame panko prawns at dinner tasted fantastic! Enjoying the view of the track at Mercedes-Benz World from the large terrace in the stunning Kay Petre suite. The rib-eye steak as a main course was mouth-watering! Indulging in the delicious dessert selection. WEDDINGS AND HONEYMOONS 27
