WATTLE & DAUB We speak to Gemma, the founder of Wattle & Daub based in Godalming about the importance of preserving wedding bouquets after the big day. She tells us, “Preserving your bridal bouquet is a wonderful way of capturing a moment in time, that is if you don’t intend to throw it for your bridesmaids to catch! Whether you have a full bouquet or a small selection of flowers from the day, you can choose from different processes designed to create a permanent piece of artwork. •Floral plaque This is an imprint of a selection of flowers made in a clay and plaster cast. The plaque measures approximately 24 x 24 x 2cm, has a small hook on the reverse for easy hanging and costs £85. Some flowers are more successful than others for the casting process. (I can advise couples beforehand or I will choose a selection from the bouquet to work with). •Flowers in a Cloche Flowers are partly dried and then preserved in an acrylic paint before being arranged in a flower frog and protected inside a cloche. The cloche measures approximately 23 x 17cm, however alternative sizes are available, £120 (collection or local delivery only). •Fine Art Print A fine art photography print is produced in a natural light environment using a selection of flowers from the bouquet. The blooms will be styled to create the ideal composition and may be rearranged to take into account any flowers that are not at their best after the special day. The image is printed on fine art giclee paper in an A3 size and can be printed to order once couples have approved which image they want to use, £110." https://wattleanddaubhome.co.uk/pages/ everlasting-wedding-flowers-1 www.instagram.com/wattleanddaubhome www.unsplash.com CHECK OUT THESE FABULOUSLY FLORAL WAYS TO DECORATE YOUR DAY All images courtesy of www.unsplash.com Fill a vintage suitcase with beautiful blooms.
