BURNINGFOLD MANOR, DUNSFOLD This beautiful 15th-century listed manor house is a historic property that was originally a hunting lodge for Henry VIII. Having been extensively extended over the years, period features are abundant throughout including exposed oak beams, oak doors, open fireplaces, wood panelling, leadlight windows as well as the original minstrel’s gallery. There are two principal suites with a further five bedrooms and bathrooms. The exterior offers an open beamed look from the front door with gravel parking and a york flagstone patio. To the east of the house are extensive views stretching across the 300-acre estate. There’s also a croquet lawn and walled gardens with the easterly elevation facing the main walled gardens. From the Plaistow Road, the drive splits into two and can be approached from both sides of the house. The extensive walled gardens are divided into four areas. The rose garden with beautiful wisteria running along the wall, the secret garden home to rhododendrons, the tennis court and lastly the swimming pool with stunning white wisteria adorned over the archway are private and secluded. Burningfold Manor and its gardens are set within 300 acres of English rolling countryside. Ceremonies take place in The Old Library, an oak-panelled space with a seating capacity of up to 60 people. The Walled Garden set within a beautiful rose garden with wisteria-clad walls seats up to 120 guests. There’s also a bespoke marquee set between the stable bar and lined barn with a seating capacity of 180 people. Receptions take place in the beautiful entrance hallway in the oldest part of the house with a standing capacity of up to 60 loved ones. The Old Library also has a standing capacity of 60 guests while the Lined Barn holds up to 120. For larger celebrations of between 120 and 180 guests, there’s the walled garden, the marquee and the patio opposite the lily pond.
