This is a tremendous achievement as The Tudor Pass only opened in September 2022, it’s highly unusual for the Michelin Guide to award a star so soon after opening, but it reflects head chef Alex Payne and his team’s talent, dedication and passion. Born in Egham and raised less than a mile from the hotel, Alex joined Great Fosters last September to launch The Tudor Pass, an intimate, gastronomic restaurant with only seven tables and open Wednesday to Saturday for both lunch and dinner.
