Now, Cottesmore Hotel, Golf & Country Club is preparing to host weddings once again with a major renovation programme, restoring it to its former glory, set to be completed by August, 2020. Nestled amongst 275 acres of picturesque countryside, the grounds include a secluded tree-lined glade where there sits a romantic ceremony gazebo, made from wooden arches salvaged from the old building. Along with the ceremony lawn it can seat 150 for your vows. The newly constructed Barn Room, which will be ready for reopening, will boast a beautiful vaulted ceiling, elegant lighting, and stylish mirrors. It will be capable of holding 150 of your nearest and dearest for your ceremony. The Challis Room with a capacity of 150 for the wedding breakfast, and 200 for the reception, will also be ready for the grand opening. It will have a contemporary feel with light wooden floor and a calming interior, along with its own fully- stocked bar and dancefloor. Set amongst 247 acres of tree-lined Sussex countryside featuring 36 holes of golf, two lakes, seven self-catering lodges and tennis courts, Cottesmore has something for everyone. The space is huge and features a stage, unstocked bar area and grand central fireplace for optional use in the colder months. It also includes rustic tables and benches for your use. The gorgeous barn, clad in green oak featherboard and red clay roof tiles, sits in the centre of an organic farm. Surrounded by incredible views of the Sussex countryside and Ashdown Forest, the historic town of East Grinstead is just a short drive away. Ceremonies can be held in the licensed barn with up to 150 guests. Receptions can also be held here or on the farm, in the event field, in the marquee, or in the after-hours “rave room” for the real party animals!
