They were a hit with everyone young and old. We booked a magician we’d met at a Sussex wedding fair. He arrived during dessert and entertained everyone for two hours before we cut the cake. He was very funny and got whole groups involved. Our cake was naked, decorated with fresh summer berries and surrounded by Valentine-style cupcakes. Our beloved cats Sugar and Pepper even made an appearance on our cake topper. My daughter’s speech was beautiful and not only made me cry but had some of our guests in tears too. Our wedding readings by Dan’s sister and my bridesmaid were also very touching and meant the world to us. We hired A1 Discos for the dancing who kindly played the entire playlist I requested with special dedications. He even replayed a song I missed when I went to change! Nine months before the wedding, we got a wall mounted wedding planner and it was so helpful to always be able to see what was going on and what was coming up and when, without having to open an app or diary. 40
