I found asking questions on Facebook wedding groups most helpful. We spent our minimoon in Venice for a long weekend, which was so romantic, touring around the beautiful canal alleyways and going on a gondola ride. We’ll be having another wedding in India in October, which will be followed by our honeymoon in the Maldives. They kept everyone on the dancefloor until 1am. The venue staff went absolutely above and beyond for us, including driving us up to the Sussex Downs to take sunset photos in the fields and dropping some guests home at the end of the night when the taxis couldn’t find the venue. For our wedding breakfast entrance song, our DJs mixed a Bangra/ Bollywood song with Rhianna’s We Found Love and requested all the guests wave their napkins in the air, which was so amazing. We danced around the tables and got Abhi’s family to come and join us for the Bollywood section of the song, which was really special. During the wedding reception, we had a game of cricket, India vs. England with Abhi bowling the first over to me batting. 42
