It was lace with vibrant embroidered flowers – the perfect evening look. Mike’s dad made us a great signpost which we had outside on the grass pointing guests in the direction of various elements such as main stage, ceremony, bar and toilets. We wanted wholesome, posh picnic-style food with a family sharing vibe for each table. Everything was homemade by Marks Meals who worked with us to create the perfect menu. He catered so well for any dietary requirements too. Our post-ceremony options were cheese scones and sultana scones from The Cuxton Bakehouse, local to us. These went down a storm and we had various chutney options, plus cotted cream and jam. No Limit Street Band performed next. They’d previously played at my cousin’s wedding and my sister’s, so they’re a huge hit with our family. They’re so professional and every song had everyone singing along and dancing. We didn’t want it to end! We’re both into live music so we had two bands perform. Mike’s friend, Cam, was previously in a band, Kintillo. They haven’t performed together for years but loved the idea of coming back together to play at our wedding. Guests loved them! They had everyone up and dancing, it felt like a private gig. I made lots of streamer bunting that we hung up behind the band and around the room, along with pink and orange paper lanterns. We also hired some furniture, including a vintage chesterfield sofa and chair, a Persian rug, deck chairs and a beer bath. We placed this all in the stretch tent outside, which meant people had a comfortable area to sit down away from the music. 37 REAL WEDDINGS
