HENDALL MANOR BARNS 01825 732 561 | www.hendall.co.uk Hendall Manor Barns is discreetly positioned in the heart of the East Sussex countryside with far-reaching views of the Sussex Downs and a stones throw away from the Ashdown Forest. Within the grounds there’s a picturesque pond complete with its own walkway, an orchard, fields, private lawns, and gardens. The main house has a striking arched loggia and a stone gazebo within the garden; an idyllic backdrop for photos. The venue consists of three interconnecting buildings surrounding a large central courtyard with a lawn and raised terrace. These historical and beautiful structures sit below Hendall Manor and its adjacent 17th-century sandstone barn where you’ll find bridal and family accommodation along with a recently converted wedding suite. In addition to the wedding night, our accommodation is accessible from 4pm the day before and check out isn’t until 11am the day after the wedding, for maximum enjoyment. Ceremonies for up to 150 guests are held in the Stone Barn. An impressive building, it’s almost 100ft in length and is arranged on two distinct levels. The upper half provides a large reception area (120 wedding breakfast guests and 150 reception guests) in addition to the entrance and access to the raised south-facing terrace and lawn. The lower half has in-filled mullion windows and doorways set into its lovely rough sandstone walls, a tall, vaulted roof and oak flooring. All weddings have exclusive use of the buildings, terrace and lawn for the duration of the day. The venue offers complete privacy and the opportunity to create your own special day, and you’re encouraged to make imaginative use of the spaces available. There have been an extraordinary variety of reception layouts, flowers and themes here. So, whether you’re looking for a relaxed yet sophisticated barbecue, vintagestyle tea party or formal seated wedding breakfast, the spaces can be easily adapted and decorated to bring your vision to life. CISSBURY BARNS 01903 899 638 | www.cissbury.com Cissbury Barns can be found nestled on the Cissbury Estate in a beautifully secluded setting that’s part of the venue’s charm. Providing an abundance of fabulous photo opportunities at every turn, the Estate is beautiful whatever the time of year. Brick and flint walled gardens surround the barns and your guests are welcomed either through the secret garden with its living handmade rustic doorway or from the top entrance into the large imposing courtyard complete with its own petanque court. What’s more, the enclosed ceremonial and patio walled gardens offer an attractive and relaxing space for friends and family to mingle and enjoy the tranquillity of being hidden away in the South Downs. Ceremonies take place in either the East Barn or the wooded area known as The Glade, both with capacity of 120. The former offers flowing white voile drapes, elegant lime-wash chairs and bespoke rustic wooden furniture, which all combine to make it a naturally romantic place to say “I do.” Meanwhile, the venue’s newest addition, The Glade, offers a magical outdoor ceremony experience overlooking the Estate. The West Barn has the wow factor in spades with its gorgeous oak beams and high pitch roof. The beautiful fairylight canopy and crystal or rustic chandelier await you and your 120 guests for the wedding breakfast and will be ready for you to enjoy. Large double doors either side of the central barn allow oodles of light to flood in. The fabulous bar, which was once the lambing pens, is reached through the main barn offering an additional spot for relaxing throughout the day and evening alongside the gorgeous festoon-decorated stretch tent. The venue can play host to 200 evening guests. https://dannibeachphotography.com https://flashbackphotographyse.com www.jodihallphotography.com 27 BARN VENUES
