The manor of Peelings is mentioned in the Domesday Book, but there has been a settlement on the site since Anglo-Saxon times and likely long before that. The manor and farm buildings are Grade II listed, with the earliest surviving part of the manor house dating back to the late 15th century, and the farm buildings from the 1850s. Peelings Manor Barns is a totally DIY venue and the perfect blank canvas for wedding receptions. The venue space includes the Grade II listed traditional Sussex Flint Barn with its characterful cartwheel chandeliers and enclosed outdoor spaces. You hire the space only, everything else is up to you. You have complete freedom of choice so you can organise the day of your dreams. While the venue isn’t licensed for ceremonies, many choose to opt for a blessing during their reception. This can happen anywhere within the total venue space.
