Your Sussex Wedding - February/March 2024 (Issue 107)

Matt wore a three-piece suit in colours and fabrics that he wouldn’t normally wear on a day-to-day basis. His tan Marc Darcy jacket from Astares was paired with a stone Donegal waistcoat from Moss and black skinny-fit trousers from Boohoo Man. He also wore a skinny black paisley patterned tie as opposed to the groomsmen’s plain black versions as a point of difference allowing him to stand out. Our ceremony was emotional with wobbly lips, tears in our eyes and plenty of pauses for deep breaths! Having personal vows, which we kept a secret until the day is something I’d recommend. It makes the ceremony so much more genuine. We loved it and our guests loved witnessing them. The groomsmen wore a grey Marc Darcy suit jackets, with matching waistcoat, trousers, belt and shoes. The style inspiration was a summer’s day at the races as we’re big fans of attending Goodwood racecourse. The ceremony space was decorated with a white moon gate, which had wild flowers and foliage woven around it. The aisle was lined with eight meadow arrangements where close family and the wedding party sat. I had a beautiful wildflower bouquet in soft mixed pastels. The bridesmaids had smaller versions. We also wore small bunches of gypsophila in our hair. My dress reveal to my bridesmaids and dad was a standout moment for me. My dress, Marci, was bespoke from Lyn Ashworth. Sarah from the boutique was amazing from start to finish and made the most beautiful dress. I always wanted something with sleeves so when I saw Marci I knew I’d found something special – I felt relaxed and beautiful. 43 REAL WEDDINGS
