We had a fresh flower arch with clear acrylic sign, which read: The Ellis’s, which formed the focal point of our celebrant-led ceremony. Our florist then returned the following day to deconstruct it and make it into bouquets for our friends and family who’d stayed overnight. We enjoyed canapés after the ceremony and there were Sussex grazing boards for everyone in the afternoon. During the evening guests were served hot bowl food. Our bridesmaids looked beautiful in white crepe maxi dresses, Esmee. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we opted for doughnuts! I wore an Essense of Australia gown, and Josh wore a black tuxedo from Dickies of Hove. REAL WEDDINGS 47
