Rob caught Saz’s eye while she was out at a bar with her friends. “We exchanged a few words and ended up matching on Tinder a couple of months later,” says Saz. “We bonded over our love of festivals, music and rugby. We are both very outdoorsy people. We go hiking and camping quite a lot and have attended lots of festivals and concerts together. “We were quite unconventional and there was no actual proposal,” adds the bride. “We had been together for a few years and one day we decided to get married. We went to see the Ceridwen Centre and we fell in love with it and booked it straight away. We gave ourselves some time to save and picked September because it’s my favourite time of the year.” SETTING THE SCENE “We were attracted to the Ceridwen Centre because of its laid-back atmosphere, grounds, quirky spaces and accommodation, which included a double-decker bus and a geodome,” shares Saz. “It was easy for us to add our own touches, and as we really wanted either a tipi or an outdoor wedding, it gave us a choice of both. The team at the Ceridwen Centre went above and beyond for us; they were so helpful and took a lot of the stress away.” The couple’s ceremony was held outdoors in a pagoda. “We decorated the pagoda with a flower arch, rugs, vases filled with flowers and benches,” reveals Saz. “Our wedding breakfast took place inside a tipi. We had a sweetheart table and peacock chairs with cushions provided by Megan & Claude. Our tables were decorated with copper napkins, heart-shaped candles, placemats and small disco balls. To tie the festival theme together, we added a wooden pallet table plan, fairy lights, hessian bunting and light-up letters from Pembrokeshire Wedding Lights. “In the evening, we had a postbox for cards, a basket of blankets, cameras and sweets for our guests,” adds the bride. “The outdoor area is what really tied the theme together. Megan & Claude provided a giant deck chair, carnival signs and a parasol. We also had a bride and groom cut out with holes to put your faces in, which was great fun. We added some games for our guests to play and firepits for everyone to sit and relax around.” For their favours, the happy couple gave their guests drink tokens and keyrings, which doubled up as place names. “Our cake was a three-tiered vegan design from What Leila Bakes,” recalls Saz. “It was made up of chocolate fudge, salted caramel and Victoria sponge. It was decorated with copper and cream buttercream, small dried flowers and disco balls. For the rest of our food, the Ceridwen Centre provided a big menu for vegans, so we had lots to choose from. We served our guests canapés, and for the wedding breakfast, we opted for paella with salad, potatoes and chimichurri on the side. Dessert was vegan brownies with local berries and ice cream, and in the evening, we chose posh hot dogs with pickles and seasonal slaw.” DRESSED TO IMPRESS Saz wore a Rue De Seine gown called Poppy Stardust from The Wedding Club. “This was my dream dress; it was very boho and lightweight,” reveals Saz. “I accessorised with a cathedral-length veil, gold block heels, a gold and diamanté headpiece and a clutch bag.
