Instead of a traditional cake, we had cupcakes. By the end of the night, they were all gone and I didn’t even get one! We gave our guests lottery tickets and Welshcakes as favours. We had lots of English guests who didn’t know what a Welshcake was, so it made a nice talking point. West Monmouthshire Golf Club provided all of the food, which tasted amazing. We held our ceremony at St. Elli’s Church and chose West Monmouthshire Golf Club for the reception. We’d had our Christmas party at the golf club the previous year and some of our friends and family had recommended it to us. We chose white and red flowers to tie in with our colour scheme. 32
