It was my go-to activity when I was growing up, and I learned from my mistakes and had fun in the process. I was quite a proficient baker by the time I left school. I practiced for friends and family for years and built up my decorating skills. I was a laboratory scientist for a few years, and I find that baking is a scientific process – just much more fun! I enrolled in decorating courses, which led me to open my own business and teach a class in Abergavenny. My favourite thing in the world is making wedding cakes, from meeting clients right through to the design and set-up. “I offer tastings, consultations on certain days, and postal deliveries if required.
