Your South Wales Wedding - November/December 2023 (Issue 94)

Our favours were mini jars of honey and wildflower seeds. The centrepieces were wooden logs decorated with honey pots, glass candle holders, and honeycomb vases filled with sunflowers. The chefs at The Great House Hotel and Restaurant created amazing food for the evening before and breakfast for guests who stayed the night. The wedding breakfast meal was outstanding, and all of our guests commented on how good it was. The venue also organised for Bang-On Brewery to create personalised labels for the beer bottles, which was such a lovely touch. The staff at The Great House Hotel and Restaurant were amazing. A big shout out to Eleanor and the team; they went above and beyond to the point that we didn’t even notice them there! They did all the set-up and turn-around of the room without us having to do anything, and it was perfect every time. For the table plan, we created a handmade frame with hanging pieces of paper that were removed and a canvas added for the guests to sign instead of a guest book in the evening. Papillon Coffee House provided our three-tiered buttercream cake. It was made up of three different flavours: lemon drizzle, chocolate orange, and coconut. 30
