To keep our guests entertained, we had a singer during the afternoon who performed classic party songs and got everybody up and dancing. We also hired Dorian Magician, who went down a treat. All of our guests said that he was the best magician they had ever seen. People could not stop talking about him all day. We also had a caricaturist who drew us a welcome sign, which included Keelan and I and our two dogs. We then had a DJ in the evening who played a range of genres, ranging from 60s rock to 90s Britney Spears! We went to Neath Abbey Ruins for our photos and our two labradors, George and Roxy, were there to greet us. We are pet wedding chaperones ourselves, so this was such an important part of our day. The dogs were off the lead and they both ran off to poop and we were laughing so much because Keelan actually had poop bags in his pocket! Even on our wedding day, Paws In Motion Wedding Chaperone couldn’t have a day off and had to pick up dog poop. We laughed about this all day. Keelan’s mother mistook one of our close friends as the bus driver and asked him, ‘What time are you taking us to the venue?’ He laughed and told her he wasn’t the bus driver and she replied, ‘You must be the wedding car driver then’. He said he couldn’t stop laughing for hours. He was just our guest! Keelan was extremely nervous leading up the ceremony, while I felt very calm. I was just so excited to marry my best friend that I was not nervous at all until I got to the church and saw everyone from the village who were not invited to the wedding. They were all standing outside the church to greet me! Then the nerves kicked in and I felt like a film star! I had one bridesmaid and a maid-of-honour who both wore long navy dresses. I wore a Ronald Joyce fit-and-flare dress from White Orchid Bridal. Although I tried on several ballgowns, I’m so short and petite that they just didn’t suit me. I decided to go for a fitted dress with a long cathedral veil to match. Keelan chose a black tuxedo with a dicky bow from Mens Formal Hire Ltd. 41 REAL WEDDINGS
