Your South Wales Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 100)

My dress was called Katalina by Casablanca Bridal, and I purchased it from Belle Mariee Bridal. I’d always dreamed of a princess-style gown ever since I was a little girl, and lo and behold, my dream came true. Alison at Belle Mariee Bridal was amazing throughout the whole process, and she helped complete the look by adding sleeves. My veil was a Glitter Horsehair veil from Richard Designs and the sparkles just complemented everything! On the day, our anxiety and nerves were through the roof! We’d spent the night before apart, and that was the first time in five years, and I think we’d missed each other a lot. Neither of us slept much that night, but as soon as we were reunited, it felt like a huge weight had been lifted! Seeing everyone we love together in the same room made us feel extremely lucky. Sharing this momentous occasion with them was precious to both of us. Without my mum, dad, uncle and Jack’s mum and step-mum our day wouldn’t have happened. Their support was incredible. All of our suppliers were also great, especially the team at De Courceys Manor. They made sure that we had everything we wanted and we couldn’t have asked for more. Jack chose a grey three-piece suit from Matalan that matched with my dad and uncle, with ties and pocket squares from DQT Ltd. My little bridesmaids wore white dresses from Belle Mariee Bridal with added applique buttons from Etsy. Our photographers, Studio Cwtch, were our heroes. When walking into the church, I lost my shoe and Jac came to the rescue while Paul was inside the church. I’m so grateful to her for helping a girl out! Paul was great at distracting everyone while having the photos taken and he was so good with the kids. They made the day feel much more relaxed than we thought possible, especially as we’re not confident in front of the camera! De Courceys Manor organised to have the house DJ come and play songs after the meal. REAL WEDDINGS 29
