Our table plan featured cricket fielding position names and the tables were placed in the relevant positions around the room. Hils and I sat on ‘the wicket’ in the middle of the room. The table names were made from Scrabble tiles and holders. The centrepieces included books that were chosen for guests on appropriate subjects. These also acted as favours so guests could take them home. For our place names we hand-wrote individual messages to our guests on arty postcards, which were placed in labelled envelopes. We gifted our guests our favourite coffee from RAVE in Cirencester and sauces from Tubby Toms as wedding favours. Our big-day bakes were three chocolate cakes and a savoury cheesecake. We opted for dried flowers along with a selection of roses, coloured wheat and grasses. We also decorated the space with dried flower clouds, as well as lots of atmospheric lighting and candles. 28
