Your North West Wedding - December/January 2024/2025 (Issue 89)

62 STAR OF THE SHOW Hair and make-up artist Yasmin (www.yasminschwitzer.com) reveals her trend predictions for brides-to-be. When it comes to your hair, I think we will see more sleek and romantic styles. The half-up and half-down look is also making a comeback. Make-up wise, brides will look for a satin finish, moving away from overly dewy skin. They will use more cool tones and opt for clean lids and matte eyes finished with a blush. FASHION FORWARD The team at Willow & Wilde Bridal (www.willowandwildebridal.co.uk) shares their dress ideas for 2025. We are seeing some really interesting trends come through from the bridal shows this autumn. One key style to look out for is the revival of corsets and drop waists. This look is everywhere on the catwalks and also includes exaggerated hips for a vintage look. One of the most stunning trends is the recurrence of antique-style laces, either as appliqué detailing or all over for a striking impact. Detailed sleeves are continuing with designers looking at ways to make additions so they can be worn on and off, making dresses customisable. Another continuation into 2025 is details such as floral motifs and bows, which look stunning as a statement piece. I’m really looking forward to seeing more short dresses or jumpsuits for civil ceremonies and the evening party. More brides are looking to change into something easier to dance in so they can let their hair down and have a really good boogie! www.wedtimestories.com www.rebeccakerrphotography.com www.freyaraby.co.uk Dakota FB217 by Freda Bennet Ember by Willowby by Watters HAIR CARE HERO The team at Brandon May Hair (www.brandonmayhair.com) reveals their bridal hair predictions for next year. Our bridal hair trend predictions for 2025 include polished classics; think sleek buns and Hollywood waves. The piled-high, curled styles, which are a modern take on a French twist, will continue into next year. We will also see more curled ponytails, which is great if you have super long locks as you can bring this round to the front easily for pictures, but it still looks great from all angles. For those that want something in between, we love the half-up, half-down look, which is bouncy and looks great with a bow. To create two looks in one, you could remove your veil and keep the bow for the evening. Ayla by Kelsey Rose Bridal
