Your North West Wedding - December/January 2024/2025 (Issue 89)

If you’re anything like me, then you’ve probably been dreaming of how you’ll look on your wedding day since you were a child. Now that you’re engaged and are having to decide on a dress, hairstyle and make-up, it can feel overwhelming. My biggest piece of advice is to choose a look that feels right for you. If you don’t usually wear make-up, then going into your big day with a full face of glamorous products can make you feel uncomfortable and likewise, if you wear make-up on a daily basis, then going without it might make you feel naked. It’s all about finding a style that takes your normal look and elevates it to a new level – one that makes you look and feel like the best version of yourself. Talk to your hair and make-up artists; they’re the experts and have helped hundreds of brides get ready for their wedding, so they’ll have suggestions that can make your normal look bridal-ready. Make sure you book a hair and make-up trial; it’s the perfect time to sit with your supplier, talk through your look and ask any questions that you may have. It also means that you can try several styles, so if the idea you have in your head doesn’t look quite like you imagined, then it doesn’t matter; you can keep trying styles until you find the perfect look for you. To help give you some inspiration, we’ve rounded up some of the region’s top suppliers and asked for their beauty tips and trend predictions for 2025. Happy planning!
