HOT TOPIC: wedding worries Our experts solve your problems RELAXED ROMANCE We’re having a relaxed wedding. How can we reflect our natural theme in our big-day flowers? When planning a wedding with a relaxed, natural theme, the choice of flowers plays a crucial role in creating an atmosphere that aligns with your vision. Selecting flowers that are in season not only supports local growers but also enhances the natural feel of your wedding. It is often cost-effective too! Wildflowers can add a whimsical touch to your arrangements, with irregular shapes and colours that mimic the beauty of nature. Pairing these with lush greenery such as eucalyptus or ferns can create a soft and romantic look. This combination adds movement and textural elegance to your décor. Structured bouquets may feel too formal for a relaxed wedding setting. Instead, choose loose and free-flowing arrangements that appear more organic. This can include cascading elements or asymmetrical designs that mirror the randomness found in nature. What should we ask the wedding team before booking? There are so many Christmas-themed wedding ideas that can transform your day into a winter wonderland. Ask your venue if their Christmas decorations are used throughout the property. For example, at The Ro Hotel, our decorations go up from mid-November and include Christmas trees, nutcrackers, wreaths and much more. Here are some questions we regularly get asked by our brides and grooms to help you: What’s included in your wedding packages? We have chair covers and sashes included in most of our packages, which can help with your chosen theme. What remit do we have to decorate your venue? Be creative and bold; we encourage decorations in our hotel and the only restriction we have is no naked flames. Are there any vendors that you would recommend that you have worked with at the venue before? Previous vendors will have a better idea of the venue and styling ideas that would suit the space. The best way to look natural in your photos is to feel natural. I love to make the happy couple feel relaxed and the key thing is for them to have fun. Little things like dancing and laughing with each other or walking off holding hands and chatting with a little look behind them all help to keep everything looking as natural as possible when shooting both staged shots and candid ones.
