Your North West Wedding - December/January 2024/2025 (Issue 89)

I came across old-season Topshop bridesmaids’ dresses online. When they buttoned up, they had a cut-out heart shape at the back, which I loved, so I made it my mission to find them for my three bridesmaids. Seeing Robin on the day was one of my favourite moments. He looked so handsome, like I knew he would. We had a surprise set up in the adjoining room of the barn – a bucking bronco from Bounce A Lot Northwest. Everyone loved it, and it was nonstop laughter all around. I chose a dress by Milla Nova from Knutsford Wedding Gallery. It was encrusted with jewels, embellished flowers, and feathers. I had a real wow moment when I tried it on; I’d not seen anything like it before. Robin wore a bespoke morning suit from Favourbrook. It had an ivory waistcoat, grey pinstripe trousers and a charcoal morning suit jacket. We had a contemporary brass band called Back Chat Brass perform modern and classic hits. They were hiding at Browsholme Hall waiting for our wedding car to come down the drive. They made a surprise appearance by bursting out of the front door playing their instruments just as we got out. In the evening, we hired the wonderful Vice Radio who we booked through Merchant Music Limited to keep our guests entertained. We surprised our guests with our first dance, showcasing a routine we had learnt with Yasmin from Sanderson Dance. Sarah from Olive Owl Flowers, in particular, delivered the dream. She listened to what we wanted and was so enthusiastic about how she could make it possible. I cried in the morning when I saw the flowers and just could not believe how she had brought our dream to life! REAL WEDDINGS 27
