Your North West Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 83)

It was wonderful to see that the day had come together exactly as we had imagined. Walking down the aisle, partly with my stepdad and partly with my dad, and seeing Alex cry was a moment I will never forget. We loved the idea of having alpacas at the wedding and felt it would be a really good fit for the barn. We met Jane from Wreay Syke Alpacas, who was great and really helpful. We got to go to the farm, meet the alpacas, and choose who we wanted on the big day. We chose Jura and Braveheart, who wore little bow ties and were really friendly. They were such a success, and all the guests loved feeding and walking them. We have some fantastic pictures with them, and it was great to spend time with them on the big day. I had two adult bridesmaids who wore the Laila gown from WED2B and a flowergirl who chose a dress from ASOS. It was 30 degrees and by far the hottest day that year, so it was really special that everyone got to make full use of the venue and spend lots of time outdoors. I purchased my dress from A Family Affair in Kendal. The staff were amazing! I accessorised with a detailed veil and belt, and Alex wore a Mark Darcey suit. We booked a caravan photo booth, which was great fun and really fitted the theme. 43 REAL WEDDINGS
