There are a few things you should keep in mind when learning to contour. Here are my top tips: Don’t be afraid of cream contour. It creates a more natural, dewy effect if you work with small amounts and blend as you go. Using the right brush to blend the contour is key. Cool tones help create illusions and look more natural. For a long-lasting look, use cream and a powder contour, this will set the contour beautifully. Imagine the number three on either side of your face. This is the most common place to add contour but remember to work with the shape of your face. For example, if you have a small forehead, avoid applying contour there as it will only make it look smaller. Equally if you want to make your nose look slimmer, you can add two lines down the side of the bridge of your nose and the bottom of your nose, this will elongate it but also make it look less wide.
