I chose a beautiful Stella York gown from The Blue Bow Bridal Company. I was adamant that I wanted to stay comfortable the whole day and I really did. I had a pair of personalised Air Max 90 trainers, which I ordered from Etsy and I loved them! I felt incredibly nervous, as I wanted everything to go smoothly and, most importantly, for everyone to enjoy themselves. Shane wore a grey suit with a matching blue tie from Freedmans. All of the groomsmen matched and they looked suave. The speeches were wonderful. Shane’s best man provided such a heartfelt, funny and memorable speech that guests are still talking about it to this day. My aunt’s speech sharing stories that she had about my dad when she first came to the UK and how she always wanted an English loaf of bread made the day extra special. REAL WEDDINGS 29 I had seven bridesmaids and they all wore a dusty blue colour. Each dress was a different style, as I wanted them to feel comfortable. I gave each bridesmaid a small white clutch bag and they wore their own silver shoes. To keep our guests entertained, we had a DJ from The Disco Co. Our DJ ended up hosting a surprise Mr. and Mrs. game, which we loved! We also had a photo booth provided by Fun & Fabulous Events. We’re so glad that we kept the entertainment simple, as the guests were able to socialise and really enjoy themselves, especially as we both come from large families from across the world.
