How can they look similar for our day but without it affecting their individuality? HAIR STYLIST SIÂN SAYS: It’s a personal thing; depending on dress style, hair type, face shape and general preference. I’d suggest a style to suit all, if they don’t already have a good idea of what they would like. The weather makes a difference, too – if it’s humid, foggy or windy, hair up can be a good choice. Most brides just want their bridesmaids to be comfortable with what they have, so give them their own choice. I’m here to work with the whole bridal party to ensure they’re entirely happy with what they have. My only real stipulation is I ask no one put hair masks on beforehand, as it tends to make any curls you may want drop. Washing and blowdrying your hair the day before is advised, too, so there’s plenty of time on the morning to enjoy a relaxed and happy atmosphere. If the bride’s happy for me to do whatever suits the bridesmaids I usually go for a classic, timeless and elegant soft glam look, that suits just about everyone – but without outshining the bride. I love using subtle shades of brown and gold with a touch of Champagne on their eyes, with a clean or blended liner finished with a pair of my recent-favourite half lashes. Groomed but not overdone brows always look good, while for skin I opt for medium coverage foundation with a dewy or demi matte finish, depending on the bridesmaid’s skin. Bronzed cheeks with pink or peach blusher and a soft highlighter are also a great touch, while a nude pink lipstick with optional gloss finish completes the look.
