They got engaged and were all set to tie the knot in 2006, but they were both a bit too young and didn’t fully appreciate what they had, leading them to part ways. However, fate had other plans, and their paths intertwined once again a few years ago, rekindling their love. The first proposal came when they were in their early 20s, with Craig popping the question at the entrance of their home, dressed in nothing but his work boxer shorts. The second time around, Craig’s creativity had definitely matured. He planned a surprise weekend getaway to the Lake District, but their adventure almost came to a halt when a heavy snowfall hit, dumping about 30 centimetres of snow in parts of the lakes. After a nail-biting drive that included sliding down a hill, they finally made it to Bowness-on-Windermere. On Sunday, while strolling around the lake, Craig found the perfect moment to ask Hayley to marry him again, making for an unforgettable proposal.
