I wanted the flowers to be bold but not too structured with mixes of burgundy, green and ivory. My bouquet was made by Bunch London and was wrapped in ribbon with the wedding vows in Welsh. I added a charm with a message from my late grandmother engraved onto it. We had met in London where many of our friends lived and made our home together. It therefore felt very natural to look for venues and locations in a place that felt close to both of us. When looking for a ceremony setting, we decided the first port of call should be our local parish church. As soon as we arrived at St Barnabas, we were struck with how welcoming the team were and knew straight away we wanted to get married there. We kept favours simple and understated with small boxes of personalised sweets and heart-shaped mint chocolates for our guests to enjoy! We didn’t want our loved ones travelling out of London with the added expense of paying for extra travel and accommodation costs. We wanted the day to feel warm, cosy, relaxed and understated. We therefore went with a cosy pub for our reception. We had rustic wooden light up letters from We Love Occasions and lots of curtain fairylights that we purchased ourselves. 40
