I rocked a Gabija dress from Jurgita Bridal! I was all about that easy-breezy vibe, and this dress totally delivered with that playful, feel I was going for. Plus, the floral pattern was like a subtle nod to flowers. During our personalised humanist ceremony, we paused to remember those who couldn’t be with us. As the music began to play and everyone took a moment of reflection, a stunning butterfly gently landed on Andy’s back. It stayed there throughout the entire song, only fluttering away as the celebrant resumed speaking ‒ it was a truly poignant moment. I lost my dad a few years ago and in my heart, I can’t help but think it was him coming to give his blessing. As I work in the wedding industry, I wanted a venue I’d never worked at; this was a bit of a pickle, considering I’d covered most properties in London. But then, we’re out for a walk and stumble upon Myatt’s Field Park. I turned to Andy and blurted, ‘Imagine us getting married on that bandstand,’ and it turned out the space hosts weddings! It was like the universe aligned – it was the ideal spot for our big day. We both agreed from day one that we wanted guests to have plenty of fun. We wanted the wedding to be light-hearted and filled with silliness. Before the wedding, we were a bit sceptical about it being labelled as ‘the best day of your life,’ but now we’re on the same page – it truly was. We were both genuinely surprised by how much we savoured every single moment. The whole experience was undeniably magical. 45 REAL WEDDINGS
