FEEL THE RHYME Feel the rhythm, This Cuban-inspired shoot oozes energy, fun and tropical vibes Boho meets bold colours in this stunning styled shoot. Jessica Fasciano of Style it! Events, pulled together a team of local suppliers to bring her tropical theme to life. “Some couples dream about a destination wedding, but that’s not always possible, so we developed the idea of bringing the Cuban magic to London,” says Jessica. “The vision was all about Cuban charm and its festival vibes, colours and sounds. We brought together palms, bright blooms, creamy tones and some Salsa music to create those big smiles and dancing hips,” she says. The shoot took place at the Glasshouse in Hackney, which is a brand new bright and modern venue, surrounded by nature in Springfield Park. Perfect for intimate weddings, it’s the right location for couples that look for cosy celebrations with their loved ones. Its retractable skylights allow its guests the feeling of an outdoor event while having the security of a covered venue with the press of a button. “The colour palette mainly focuses on creamy light tones that are brightened up by coral and peach touches and the result is a warm joyful environment that makes you move your hips to the notes of the trombone,” says Jessica. The gorgeous flower arrangements by Thistle and Folly helped achieve the Caribbean look and beautifully enriched the layout styled by Jessica and Nikki from The Toast. The focal point was the ceremony setting with white French shutters enriched by a gorgeous oblique flower installation that popped out from the backdrop. “The lounge area is characterised by layers of drapes and wicker lanterns that give life to a burnt orange velvet chesterfield three-seat sofa and a beautiful chest of drawers. From there we move to the reception area, a place where light meets colour and detail,” she says. Stationery was created by Rock Paper Cloud and consists of a botanical collection with a sprinkle of real pressed flowers. “I wanted to keep continuity with the tropical theme in the outfits too. The macrame and acrylic palm leaf earrings became that additional touch to the fabulous dresses designed by Dandelions and Pearls and Constellation Ame ‘s,” says Jessica. Hair and make-up was kept natural for that effortless and sexy vibe and the fuss-free style makes a beautiful complement to the tropical feel of the overall look. LOCAL INSPIRATION 57
