The men all looked so handsome in their black dinner suits and equally, the girls all looked beautiful. It was important to me that everyone felt special and included on the day, as it was such an intimate wedding. It was where we had our first holiday together and remains ‘our special place’. It’s intimate and the people there are some of the loveliest we’ve had the pleasure to meet. We’re having a wedding blessing on the sandbank at sunset, which will be a real highlight of what has been an incredible 15 years together. We transported all of our guests via Routemaster bus with Champagne in hand to Quaglinos restaurant where we held our private reception in the Prince of Wales room. We adore the rich lustre of Quaglino’s and style of the interiors, adding to what was a rather stylish occasion. The phrase ‘less is more’ was the driving ambition behind our plan. Quaglino’s is an iconic venue, and we chose to let that come through. Our individual touches were in the choice of wines and Art-Deco-style place settings, which we had specially made in the same font and style as the restaurant. The cake lattice was chosen to subtly emulate the dress chosen to reflect the style of our reception venue. 40
