We hired Bloomsbury Flowers, the same team that supplied the beautiful blooms for my surprise engagement party and crafted lovely bouquet arrangements during our stays in London, to design the floral arrangements for our wedding. Our number one goal when planning our wedding was intimacy, we wanted the occasion to be very private, personal, sophisticated and timeless for all our loved ones. I chose Jimmy Choo Saeda Sandals in silver with a block heel and kept my accessories very simple. I commissioned Jerry Greig to make a necklace in white gold using my late mother’s engagement ring, which was a very personal touch. Lindsay gifted me with some beautiful Tiffany Victoria earrings to complete my outfit. In my hair, I chose a stunning Dior diamanté hair clip along with Jennifer Behr Swarovski hair clips. I opted for seven clips in all to represent our blended family of seven. Lindsay and l had both dreamt about our wedding so often, we couldn’t believe it was actually happening – we were going to be husband and wife! We chose not to hold our ceremony in a religious setting preferring the Old Marylebone Town Hall. The influencing factors were that we could pick live music, and the time-honoured architecture and décor created a perfect blend of tradition as a backdrop to a 21st-century marriage. 38
