She woke up one morning in Seascape, the holiday property where they were staying and went downstairs to find breakfast laid out with the ring on the table. He’d chosen their anniversary as a couple and got down on one knee to propose. The pair spent the rest of the day walking along the beach and enjoyed a celebration dinner in the evening. “It was perfect,” Lauren says, “And so was the ring.” The choice of wedding venue was simple as the pair have always held a soft spot for Hever Castle, having visited it on many a date. Lauren explains, “It’s always been our dream to get married there.” Despite having to scale back guest numbers in the wake of the pandemic, the couple still had their dream day in September 2020 and are hoping to have a bigger bash in June 2021.
