Wedding & Event Florist. The most beautiful smelling roses were added to the trailing ivy around the beams inside the barn and we displayed my bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids’ versions in vases.” Mollie and Bryce chose an all-white three-tiered vintagestyle cake from The Cake Junction. “It had intricate piping and beautiful detailing,” says Mollie. “The top tier was Victoria sponge, the middle tier was red velvet and the bottom was lemon curd. For the rest of our food, we chose a selection of canapés during the cocktail hour and then had a three-course sit-down meal whereby people pre-chose their selection out of three options. The most popular were the avocado terrine with salmon rillette starter, braised short rib of beef with peppercorn crust main and lemon tart with Chantilly cream dessert – the food was outstanding!” DRESSED TO IMPRESS “My dress was called Keaton by Madi Lane, which I bought from the wonderful ladies at The Bridal Boutique of Jules,” shares the bride. “We added the dramatic satin bow to the back as a statement, as well as a slit to show a little bit of leg as a bit of fun! I loved the silhouette and the way the material hung so luxuriously; I also liked that it could be worn with or without straps. I accessorised with a simple cathedral-length veil with a satin edge, white satin court heels with bows on the back, a simple gold and pearl necklace my bridesmaids gifted me and statement pearl drop earrings. For Bryce’s outfit, we opted for a black-tie look from Slater Menswear with a black velvet bow tie. “I had four bridesmaids who wore sage-green floor-length dresses from Maids to Measure,” continues Mollie. “We chose two different styles; one with a cowl neck and the other a high neck. I gifted them each gold pearl earrings, which they wore on the day, as well as matching satin green hair bows.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “We hired Gwenllian Llŷr Harpist to play as we walked down the aisle, which felt so romantic and was like something out of a movie,” recalls Mollie. “DJ Tony Nicholls performed during the cocktail hour outside in front of the manor, and during the wedding breakfast and in the evening. “We were so happy to have all of our favourite people in one place; we didn’t stop smiling and laughing all day, explains the bride. “The morning of our wedding, Bryce sent me a box of photographs of us over the years and wrote down 10 of his favourite things about me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Luckily I opened these before I had my make-up done because I was an emotional wreck! I also loved walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing my now husband at the end. “My maid-of-honour’s speech was also a highlight,” adds Mollie. “It was emotional to say the least and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room! Her last line will stick with me forever: ‘I hope you have as much fun growing old with her as I have growing up with her’. It was beautiful and so brave of her wanting to do a speech in front of everyone.” The couple’s big day was made perfect by all of those who attended. “There were so many wonderful memories,” recalls Mollie. “I was fireman-carried by one of the groomsmen when we were having photos taken and I started sinking in the mud. Also at the end of the night when everyone had left, I was done with socialising, so I went with one of my bridesmaids to scoff our faces with leftover pizza and cake.” 41 REAL WEDDINGS
