Stephen purchased his suit before I got my dress! He wore a sage herringbone tweed suit from Moss along with a waistcoat and pocket square, a sage green tie and brown shoes. The vows marked such a big part of the day. Getting to marry my best friend and have the same name as my girls was everything. Having my grandparents there was so special. My grandfather had been quite ill, so we didn’t think he would be able to attend. My bridesmaids wore champagne-coloured dresses from House of Fraser. To keep our guests entertained, we had a DJ in the evening. Nicky’s Photography was exceptional! She has captured so many of our big moments over the years, and it was like having a friend at our wedding; our guests loved her. My dress was a design called Brixx from WED2B. It was the complete opposite of what I wanted, but when I tried it on, my sister’s reaction confirmed it was the one. To accessorise, I purchased the most beautiful shoes from Rainbow Club and wore stud pearl earrings, which my sister brought for me when she got married. For our honeymoon, Stephen and I are planning to go away for a trip of a lifetime. REAL WEDDINGS 37
