Your Kent Wedding - September/October 2024 (Issue 116)

Hayley chose a boho-inspired dress called Inesa from All Who Wander. She accessorised with a flower crown and her hair was styled by Mane Studios. In the evening, she wore a leather jacket that had a custom print designed by Whilst Design. This all came together to create a mix of boho with alternative accents. I wore all black and pushed against tradition by not wearing a tie. I had a tailored black velvet jacket with a white rose buttonhole, matching black shoes and a black shirt. My hair was styled by Katie from Mane Studios and my only accessory was a black watch from The Camden Watch Company. This outfit allowed me to stay true to my alternative roots and the black created a great contrast with the white wedding dress. Hayley being walked down the aisle by her 100-year-old grandad, Sid, was a big highlight after the passing of her father, Derek. Our dog, Bodhi, came to watch the ceremony and enjoyed saying hello to everyone. Just having everyone who has had a positive impact on our lives come together was really special. We are quite laid-back people, so we stayed calm throughout the excitement and just tried to enjoy every aspect of it. I was very excited to see how stunning Hayley would look in her dress and the moment didn’t disappoint. The staff at Oad St Weddings really went above and beyond; they catered for any issue and were ready for anything that came their way; they really made us feel at the centre of the day. We opted for a DJ, a photo booth and a sax player who performed two sets. Our celebrant, With Love Celebrancy, stole the show by not only delivering a great ceremony but also keeping 16 kids busy.
